Start Service

Welcome to Harrison REMC. We offer three ways to establish service with the co-op. Below are the requirements to start your service.

Start Service by Phone

Call the office at 812-734-3525, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

  • You must call at least one business day prior to the day you are requesting the power be reconnected or transferred. We cannot guarantee that power will be turned on the same day, nor can we guarantee that the power will be reconnected that day on a disconnected account.  
  • Have a photo ID/driver’s license information available.  We will need a copy of the ID emailed or faxed to us.  A photo ID and the completed membership application must be received by the REMC within 3 business days of the effective date of transfer to avoid disconnection of service.
  • A $35 service connection charge will be added to the first electric bill.
  • You may be asked to pay a deposit based on a credit check or Harrison REMC payment history.
  • If we are unable to verify information or are unable to process your payment, we may ask you to come to the office.

Start Service in Person

Our office is located at 1165 Old Forest Road, Corydon, IN 47112. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

  • You must apply for service at least 1 business day prior to the day you are requesting the power be turned on (under normal circumstances).  We cannot guarantee that power will be turned on the same day.
  • Have a photo ID/driver’s license information available.   
  • A $35 service connection charge will be added to the first electric bill.
  • You may be asked to pay a deposit based on a credit check or Harrison REMC payment history.

Start Service Online

Request service online by filling out the form below.  

  • Completion of this form will not establish service, you will be contacted by a member service representative to finish the process and to get your Social Security number in order to run a credit check.
  • Have a photo ID/driver’s license information available.   A photo ID is required to be received by the REMC within 3 business days of the effective date of transfer to avoid disconnection of service.  You can email a copy of your ID to serviceorders@harrisonremc.com
  • A $35 service connection charge will be added to the first electric bill.
  • You may be asked to pay a deposit based on a credit check or Harrison REMC payment history.
If new construction, please call the office and do not use this form.
