Together We Save

Saving money through energy-efficiency highlights a new communication campaign recently launched by Touchstone Energy Cooperatives across the country. The new integrated energy-efficiency campaign is called “Together We Save.”

The centerpiece of Together We Save is a Web site, TogetherWeSave.com, designed to inspire consumers to make changes to save energy and money.

The site features:

·A room-by-room energy savings virtual home tour

·Entertaining and informative energy-saving applications

·Touchstone Energy TV videos

·A calculator to estimate yearly energy savings from various actions and home upgrades

Energy choices range from inexpensive upgrades, such as installing compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), to major upgrades, such as installing an Energy Star furnace. Several options are free, including drawing the blinds during the summer or turning the water heater thermostat down to 120 degrees.

Together We Save will include new television, radio, and print ads, along with brochures, posters, and information.

Touchstone Energy is a national group of nearly 700 local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives in 46 states delivering power and energy solutions to more than 40 million members.
