Annual Meeting

As a member of Harrison REMC, you are invited to attend the Annual Meeting and vote for representatives from the REMC service territory to serve on the REMC board of directors.

During the Annual Meeting, members are also given the opportunity to review the previous year’s annual report, which details the fiscal health of your REMC.

The 2009 Harrison REMC Annual Meeting was held at Corydon Central High School on April 7. One thousand ninety-four registered members were in attendance. Music was provided by the Corydon Central Jazz Band. The children enjoyed a program, the Don Miller Dinosaur Show.

The Harrison County Hospital was on hand to provide free health screenings. During the registration, members were able to visit our customer question and energy efficiency booths. During the business portion of the meeting, David Lett, CEO, acknowledged the hard work of the REMC linemen and office staff during the two storms. Twelve linemen were in attendance and received a standing ovation for their hard work and dedication to our members.

The following board elections occurrd. Larry Breeden was re-elected to serve district eight. The REMC board had two directors retiring this year. C. Daniel Boone, representing district nine retired and was replaced by Roy Zimmerman and Ron Meriwether, district 10 retired and was replaced by David Poe.

Every member that registered received a $10 bill credit, 4 energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs and an environmentally friendly woven bag.
