Personal Medical Alert

As we grow older, we find ourselves becoming more concerned about personal safety and the safety of our elderly parents. We all want to enjoy the independence we've worked so hard to earn. Safety is important, but so is personal independence. Seniors want to live on their own, in their own homes. Home medical alert systems from REMC can help seniors remain independent while feeling safe and secure in their own home.

How it works: Should an elderly or disabled customer fall or become ill, they can call for immediate help by pressing the alert button on the personal transmitter which is worn around the wrist or neck. When activated, the system immediately calls a monitoring station, where a trained professional will be in two-way voice contact with the customer requesting assistance. Customers choose a call list of friends, relatives or health care professionals who can be contacted by the monitoring station.

• $35 per month for REMC members
• $40 per month for non-members.
• There is a one-time $50 fee for all installations.
