Member Appreciation

Harrison REMC held its 2nd annual Member Appreciation Day on Wednesday, September 16.  The weather was beautiful and close to 500 members were able to enjoy the afternoon, complete with food, fun, and music.  The kids had a blast in the bounce house and even the adults took turns at each of the two slides.

Members registered for prize drawings and were given a 2010 calendar and a can “koozie”.  Lynn Moore, Director of Member Relations and Develpment at Indiana Statewide of REC’s, was here to update our members on the Our Energy, Our Future campaign.  Members signed petition cards that Lynn will deliver to the Senate in early October.

Bob Geswein, Energy Services advisor, answered questions at the ASK REMC table.  Office Manager, Steve Moore encouraged members to sign up to receive their bill electronically.  Members who sign up for e-bill will be eligible to win either an mp3 player or a $50 bill credit.  We will be having a drawing once a month for the next three months.  If you are interested you can call the office to register at 738-4115.

Operations Manager, Kevin Burch fired up the grill for hot dogs.  Office employees manned booths, visited with customers, and enjoyed the afternoon out of the office.  There were plenty of hot dogs, popcorn, and soft drinks.  There were drawings for CFL bulbs, T shirts, fans, a crock pot, energy audits, and bus trip tickets.  Horseshoe Southern Indiana and their CODE GREEN team donated a night stay at the hotel and dinner for two.  Best Built LLC donated a garage door opener and keypad.  Kim McCauley, for Sound of Music, did a fantastic job with the music.

“I enjoyed having the opportunity to walk around and visit with members.  This is a fun event to show our appreciation,” said David Lett, CEO.

See YOU next year!!!
